First is was turtle's, now it's snakes.

The kids have been sharing how they'd like to have a snake. Needless to say Teri isn't thrilled with the idea. Well now we have one, at least temporarily. Teri hasn't gotten home from shopping yet.

Mac and his friend Cade were out in the yard today after the rains. They caught what we now know is a Smooth Earth Snake.

It's non-venomous and eats bugs and worms. This plus its size (small) gives Mac a better chance of being able to keep it.

I'm just glad we don't live in Africa!

We eventually let this snake free. It wasn't eating and we were concerned for its health.
