Snow

My cousin has a full blown aviary, raising many different kinds of Parrots. We decided to get one, a Cockatoo. We named it Snow. We really enjoyed Snow. She was a lot of fun, at least to start with. Once the honeymoon was over things weren't always that good.

We soon learned that Cockatoo's at least were perpetual two year olds. She was constantly into something. Much like a cat with wings. And we learned that she like to chew stuff up. We had all kinds of things just for her but unfortunately nothing could compare to the walls of the house and the furniture.

As much as we enjoyed her it became clear that we couldn't give her the attention she needed, especially since we had two children competing with her. Snow had to go.

A friend of a friend ended up with Snow and she couldn't have ended up with a better family. We get word once in a while on how Snow is doing, and it's always the same, Snow is doing great.

I do miss her at times. Maybe one day after the kids have grown up we can consider getting another one.
